Quince Guide - Planning

So how do you start planning a quinceanera? You've come to the right place for help on planning your quinceanera. JoyfulEventsPlanner.com offers lots of cool tools for helping you plan your special quinceanera celebration with the extra unneccessary headaches.

My biggest piece of advice: PLAN AHEAD! I promise this will save you alot of migraines. Quinceaneras, start planning and thinking about what you want for your quinceanera about one to two years before your fifteeth birthday. Even though I would not suggest making any purchases this early, its helpful for the parents and padrinos as for as budget and potential reception sites and the religious ceremony.

Get a spiral notebook and keep track of everything! Keep track of any businesses you've called and the quotes they have given you. Anyone you call or anyone who calls you regarding important details about your quinceanera should be written down. Don't rely entirely on your memory to remember these crucial detials.

Really try to have a date in mind about an year ahead. Many reception sites are booked over twelve months ahead so it is definately one of the first things you should reserve. If you are considering having a religous ceremony, talk to your priest about one to two year ahead of time as well. You need to make sure that all the needed sacraments have been completed for your quinceanera. Otherwise, you might also have to take classes for at least one year in preparation for your quinceanera mass.
