Proper Makeup for your Quince Print E-mail

How do I select makeup that will look good for my Quinceanera or Sweet 16 photos and videos? Does 'photo-ready' or 'camera ready' makeup look too thick or fake?

Makeup products that look best for photography and video are usually highly-pigmented, meaning they are strong colors that are not sheer. A highly-pigmented makeup product will allow you to use a small amount to achieve a bit of color, or it can provide a darker, dramatic color when appied more heavily. Also, for making the most of your facial features on camera, makeup colors should have a strong color pigment that holds up against the harsh camera lighting. Another benefit of highly-pigmented makeup colors is that they will last longer, through many hours of Quinceanera fun and dancing! 'Photo-ready' or 'camera ready' makeup does not have to look thick or false. The purpose of makeup is to enhance and show off your beauty, not cover it up! Just make sure to blend each product properly and check your work under a strong light or in daylight, if possible. And it is always best to do a 'practice' makeup session at home at least once before your big Quinceanera or Sweet 16 Day! Practicing your look can be like a 'dress rehearsal' of how you will look and will allow you to refine your application techniques, plus you'll feel much more confident in knowing how gorgeous you'll look in front of all your family and friends at your Quinceanera!
